The Background of Taylor Office Supplies

Run by Tom Williams (pictured above) Taylor Office Supplies specializes in the sale and repair of office equipment as well as selling office supplies and furniture. Taylor Office Supplies is a franchisor (a parent company of a franchise agreement, grants a person or group of people the right to sell its product or service) that owns and operates a group of supply stores in 27 states. When Tom decided to open his particular store he became a franchisee (a person who recieves permission from a parent company to sell its products). The name Taylor Office Supplies gives Tom a nationally known name, quality merchandise, and cooperative advertising (meaning the advertising costs are shared by the franchisee and the franchisor). In exchange for the use of their name, Tom must pay Taylor a percentage of his sales. The motto emphasized at Taylor is "The customer is never an interruption- the customer is the reason we're here!" and is taped as a sign on each cash register.
